The more I talk to other women coming into the fitness world, the more I realize we all have one thing in common: we are afraid to be confident. This, of course doesn’t apply to only women, and there are a lot of confident women out there- but in general I have observed that this is something far more women struggle with over the men I talk to.

It seems that in an attempt to remain polite, we are downsizing our accomplishments, we are diminishing our hard work, and we are ultimately talking ourselves out of from pursuing great success.

Those “someone’s” are all different people for each of us, but we all know that person. That “someone” who is comfortable in almost any situation. That “someone” who seems to have no barriers between where they are and where they want to be.

The one thing, of course, that all of our “someone’s” have in common is confidence.

Confidence can be a self-fulfilling prophecy as those without it may fail or not try because they lack it and those with it may succeed because they have it rather than because of an innate ability.
